Once I flew to the German city of Cologne for work. There I tried local beer.
Cologne residents don't like residents of neighboring Düsseldorf. In Cologne they brew Kölsch beer (Ger. Kölsch). If you want to offend someone in a bar in Düsseldorf, the best way is to order this Kölsch.
What's interesting, beer, unlike Czech Republic, is served in small glasses of 0.2.

It's also interesting how this beer is served. Waiters walk around with a whole bunch of such glasses and when they see an empty glass, they just give you a new one.

Also tried "proper" Cologne dishes - mainly look like Czech ones - lots of meat, large portions.

In general I can say that both the beer is good and the food is tasty. Czech is, of course, closer to me now, but German is also very nice.
