Czech Olympians and me on skis

The Olympics are in full swing, which I, for the most part, don't care about, but still there are a couple of interesting events there for me too :)

Well, first, hooray, Russia won in hockey. My colleagues didn't miss a single match. And as usual, one day a year Czech Republic loses in hockey to Russia, and on this day Russians can officially be disliked. On the other 364 days a year friendship of peoples reigns here :)

Secondly, Czech Republic is also quite famous for its athletes. From recent - heroine of all Czech internets Ester Ledecká.

She's cool because she won medals on snowboard, and then also decided to ride skis and also won. And all of Czech Republic is delighted with her, everyone celebrates. She became the first athlete in history to win 2 medals in two different sports.

Well, for me it's most interesting to observe how a person can yesterday be not particularly known, and tomorrow become the one everyone talks about.

Well, I also decided not to lag behind and got on skis yesterday.

Since I walked half the way with skis in my hands, we can consider that I'm also strong in two sports at once - cross-country skiing and running with skis. Well, for those interested - we rented skis, poles and boots. We rode on the border of Poland and Czech Republic, so the rental cost 30 Polish zlotys (about 180 Czech crowns or 7.2 euros).
