Academic performance at Czech language courses

In this short article I'll tell you how students and their parents can monitor academic performance and class absences.

First - a bit of theory.
Our school has a five-point system. But it differs from the familiar Russian one. Basically nothing complicated, just everything is reversed. Excellent corresponds to one, and Russian F - to Czech five.

Knowledge control at school is carried out using tests: several take place during the month, and once a month there's a so-called monthly test. Also once every six months there are exams, but we haven't reached them yet.
Test results are measured in percentages. To get the highest score, you need to score at least 90%.
In reality, all this is very subjective, because intermediate grades have little effect on the overall result - you can get a certificate even with quite bad results, the main thing is to score more than 60%.

A student who wrote any test at less than 60% usually retakes the test, after an unsuccessful retake follows a stern conversation with the curator, and then with the director - but so far in my memory this hasn't happened :)

Essentially, all these test results are for you yourself. You can see which topic was learned well, and which - not very. Each teacher holds additional consultations once a week, so you can easily get missing knowledge.

Also worth telling about absences. It's implied that you can skip no more than 20% of classes.
If this schedule is violated, the first time the student is obliged to write an explanatory note to their curator, if repeated - already to the director. By the way, absences due to illness are also absences, but, accordingly, such an explanation is accepted without extra conversations.

In mid-September all students were given small pieces of paper - on them were written the student number (this is the future login), as well as a generated password (quite complex). You shouldn't lose this paper - to recover the password you'll have to go to the engineer who connected everyone to the internet.

To find out your grades, you need to go to the link https://ujop.cuni.cz/studium/.

Then on this page you need to enter the data from the paper, you'll be logged into the system. You can monitor academic performance (hodnocení), absences (absence).
The rest of the items, mainly, are for yesterday's schoolchildren, there's written about certificate nostrification, exams, etc. In general, everything is clear even without knowledge of the language. The letter "M" near the result means monthly test.
