My thoughts on pensions

I'm writing about how I look at pensions and raising the retirement age from here, from Czech Republic. Suddenly you're interested in what's in a person's head after a couple of years of living in Europe :) I'll be brief, in theses and without my awesome ramblings

1) Working more is good. Realizing your old age at 60 is fucked up

We were all raised by grandmothers, because parents were working, and all we know about the word "pension": it's "something for the old". Our person will inevitably feel old receiving a pension. This is bad. This is one of the reasons for high mortality. Old is 70 years, not 55.

2) Pension is an outdated concept

You can reason as much as you want here, but in my opinion, pension, i.e. something paid by those who can work to those who can't work, is already a bit off. Labor has changed. You can sit at a computer and code shit at 60 and 70. It's not hauling sacks, just like writing such articles. Pension today is as stupid as working 8 hours a day.

3) Pension is paying for other people's whims

Yes, I don't want to pay for your mom. For mine - ok. For a friend's mom - well okay, she fed me in childhood. For yours - no.

4) Pension is not earned rest, but your financial illiteracy

Every second dick on YouTube has already taught everyone everything - save a quarter of your salary from 25 years old, and you'll be good. Financial education in Russia is complete crap. Nobody at all understands where money comes from.

And now thoughts about raising the retirement age:

1) This is inevitable

There are many old people, few young. We'll have to raise it anyway. Shouldn't have forbidden us to fuck, our own fault.

2) Officials still need to get their asses kicked

In Russia many people are financially illiterate, so more literate people direct financial flows from someone to themselves. Don't like it - choose those who, in your opinion, will do differently. Don't want to choose - direct your money where you want. Even to Czech Republic.

3) There's no culture of professional elders in Russia

The first association with the word "old man" is an angry rude dude in a trolleybus with a cart. Take example from "good" old people. Many positions require purely life experience (teachers, accountants, lawyers), so knowledge needs to be applied.

4) Healthcare problems

Everyone hinted at this - retirement age is extremely close to the age of our probable death, i.e. you can waste a lot of money. Well, what can I say - take care of yourself, screw the system.

5) Financial flows

In every country there's a big pile of money and it's managed somehow. In China - they plan ahead and might not guess right. In advanced countries they build renewable energy sources to break even in 100 years. Today in Russia money is spent on military actions, officials' salaries and world championships. Today's world is mobile, and those who aren't used to moving from place to place will find it not very comfortable to live. Once every 5 years you should ask yourself - does everything suit me where I am now?

Conclusions

I'm very FOR raising the retirement age. And generally hope that one day pensions will disappear in principle - I want to not have false hopes that I'm needed by someone besides myself and loved ones. Pension is what will prevent my children from properly caring for me, because they'll have a feeling that someone else is already doing it.
Well, and I can also say - if you're pissed off by such opinions, calculate how much the increase in retirement age will cost you, and if suddenly the amount turns out to be more than 10 thousand euros - here's an article about how to leave for Czech Republic literally with guarantees.
