When I was still into beer, we were interested in visiting breweries where this beer is brewed. This was on the radar:
It was decided to find out what this "Sobech" is
Sobech looked like a remote village
Frozen a couple centuries ago
The brewery too, it feels like, nobody touched for a hundred years
Buildings still had names
I have nothing more to say about the town itself, since the tour started. The beginning of the tour was unexpected: turns out it's not "Sobech" but "Lobec". Calligraphy lovers rejoice, I'm defeated again
Like in other breweries (Plzen, Kozel, Budejovice), above the door they write "God grant happiness"
The brewery's history is classic for Czechia: after evil communism everything was well preserved, so talented people with money restored the brewery
Since Lobec is some forgotten village, evil communism didn't manage to break everything here and piss in all the entrances
So a bit of investment and voilà. By the way, this particular owner, in his words, invested very actively in marketing and design, even made his own font

Antediluvian refrigerator. These are very tall buried cellars. These refrigerators impressed me so much at the time that they appeared in my nightmares, and I couldn't understand whether I saw such a thing or made it up myself
Beer at breweries is always many times tastier than in restaurants. The secret isn't in freshness, the secret is that here people really stress about how to properly store and pour their beer. A couple degrees the wrong way, and beer starts to taste like alcohol, shit, Baltika. Even default Gambrinus in Plzen from the head brewer's hands was just top-tier.
Everyone interested in an "old-style" brewery, come, you'll like it, and the owner is sociable
