October 2025
This was my first visit to Munich, and southern Germany in general. I was concerned about the prices and the possibility of boredom.

The reason for the visit was a concert by Bi-2. Following the advice of chatgpt, we stayed in the Arabella Park area. It was an ass, but there was plenty of space.

An hour's walk to the center.

The city turned out to be quite small.

You can surf in the park.

It's impossible to cross the road.

We tried tourist beer (you definitely have to try it once).

Life in the center is bustling (but if you walk away, in 5 minutes it's gone).

Overall impression of Munich: nice center, then a bit of an ass, but very neat

The subway is completely empty and runs infrequently (very funny after Paris)

The museums are really cool.

Stairs to art.

The design museum was really cool.

Modern, just like me

In the evening, there was a concert

My impressions are very good. I've been to five concerts in my life and always thought they were a priori crap. The sound and quality of Bi-2's performance were so good that I even had my doubts.

Incidentally, there is relatively little German spoken in Munich at this time.

I tried BRUNCH for the first time. It was okay.

Conclusions about Munich: it's livable. The only drawbacks are the blatant wealth of a small handful of people (who probably have a questionable history) and the unreasonable real estate prices. In short, it's just like home in Prague, exactly the same, but richer.
