Crimea, Sudak

August 2011

In Crimea hryvnias were in use, so we had to bring rubles and exchange them on the spot. Interestingly, the rate differed from bank to bank quite substantially, nobody knew about cards and internet back then.
Had to travel by train, from Kaluga to Tula, from Tula already directly, I think, to Sevastopol. Now I wouldn't repeat such an adventure, 2 days with Russian Railways is no joke

Mostly, photos from the city of Sudak:

Obviously, Crimea is magnificent nature hidden behind chebureks

Bad hotels

Shitty transport

New construction

And stupid tourists

Already back then, supposedly, wine was good here, if my memory serves me right, this is an excursion to the "Novy Svet" factory

This, I think, is Feodosia. Big cities in Crimea are quite faceless and indistinguishable from each other

I couldn't swim back then

And didn't particularly worry about it

One of Ukraine's best things - cheap and tasty mineral water "Morshynska"

And the hotel was all safari-style like this
