I haven't written for a long time not only because I'm a lazy ass, but also because I lay in the hospital for a couple of days after surgery. I'm telling you how things are in Czech hospitals.
Generally, people usually go to hospitals that are closest to home. However, I was luckier - I didn't have anything urgent, so I had time to choose the best one.
My doctor recommended a good surgeon to me, the good surgeon agreed to operate on me, so everything went well :)
I was in a hospital with the resounding name "Hospital of the Merciful Sisters of Charles Borromeo". Generally, much there is connected with religion - many sisters are also nuns, there's psychological and religious help.
The hospital itself is located in the very center, but hidden from tourists' eyes - from the window you can see Prague Castle
For 350 crowns per day (about 13.5 euros) you could lie in a room with amenities for 2 people. Lots of space, like in a hotel.
For free you could lie in a room for 4 people, without own toilet and shower. I, of course, used the paid offer, fortunately I needed to lie there very little.
This is what the ward looks like from patient's eyes:

Opposite - neighbor's bed, everyone has a nightstand. You can close with a screen, but nobody bothered. Since outside was very bad (about +40), they brought us a fan which helped poorly (and Rudomil's even flowers burned). At home I had 2 tubs with basil burned to blackness, everything was bad :)
Important addition - in the corridor 2 huge wardrobes that can be locked. I have smaller ones at home.
Beds - fashionable hospital ones. You can use remote to raise the top and bottom of the bed. Within reach is a bell to call the nurse. And most importantly - a socket on top, into which I plugged a charger, connected the phone to free good WiFi and watched all of YouTube.

In general, a week in the hospital flew by unnoticed. The neighbor, by the way, was an old Czech dude, a very good neighbor, started talking after a couple of days :)
Very briefly I'll tell about my impressions:
- from a medical point of view everything went perfectly - I'm alive and well, doctors are big professionals, but I was operated on by the head doctor, which played its role. I think I was lucky because a good doctor recommended me
- nurses, staff - everything very good, but this is a feature of this particular hospital. In many hospitals where I was before - worse. But really extreme nowhere never was
- despite the hospital being religious, everyone didn't care who I am, where from and how
- food - bad, but I really couldn't eat normal food. The old man also complained :D
- money-wise - 1400 crowns for 4 days in a cool ward. Everything else - absolutely free, since I work. Regular insurance covers all expenses. Medications, quality of operation - everything very good
- operation was in the morning, at night I was already more or less walking. Endured, basically, much easier than expected
- speaking and understanding Czech is needed - can't imagine how to manage without the language
- after 4 days in the hospital they gave a paper that freed me from work. I decided myself when to go to work, they said when you feel ready, come to your doctor and set a date. With payment of work days - don't know exact details yet, I'll tell a bit later
Well, seems like I told about everything that came to mind. Ask in comments what else interests you about Czech hospitals. I'll say right away that in Russian hospitals I was only for fun (like medical exams in military registration office where I was healthy as a horse), so I can't compare.
