What Russians Drink for Lunch

When I first saw that Czechs drink beer in the morning, it was one of my first shocks.

During 5 years I somehow tried to understand what and when Czechs drink. I saw beer for lunch, beer after lunch and beer for better sleep.

Then I learned that someone drinks cola for stomach pain. And that tea is supposedly good for the throat.

But what do they drink in Russia for lunch?

Well, probably in the morning most also have coffee. Or tea. Mostly black, but green has also become popular.

During lunch they mostly drink water. Someone has kvass (that's such sweet non-alcoholic black beer). But someone drinks tea again.

In the evening people start consuming alcohol too. Beer is not drunk that much. On weekdays, I'd say, you almost don't encounter alcohol at all. And if you have beer for lunch, nobody will understand it. You're not an alcoholic, are you?

But on weekends they have all kinds of things all day :) Pub culture is still not so popular, so mostly they drink at someone's home.

Cola is drunk on New Year. Tea is simply drunk always, and in my opinion it's the most popular drink.

And when I wrote this, it seemed strange to me that according to stereotypes vodka should be popular, but tea fucking won.
