Best view from a bathroom window: boat hotel in Stockholm

In April 2016 I went to Stockholm, a very cool city, and I lived on a boat.

I won't write about everything in one note. Let me rather tell about the very first impressions.

The first thing a tourist will see: Stockholm is an international city.
Because of stereotypes it seemed to me that in Sweden everyone should be solid blue-eyed blondes, however Swedes have gone through a long path of internationalization - there really are many foreigners, but the absolute majority of them look organic.
Literally the only stereotypical Swede was me.

Well, enough about people. From "Arlanda" airport we went by bus to the center. By the way, in Sweden they still use their own currency (crowns), prices are very high, about 3 times more expensive than in Czech Republic. Then we bought a metro ticket, immediately for 3 days. By the way, it was cheaper to get a plastic card and buy a ticket on it. We'll definitely return there and use the card again.

By metro it was very close to the hotel - we booked it in the very center (by the way, prices in March-April were quite attractive, and on Facebook we even found a 30% discount).

From the cool stuff - our hostel was on a boat. Yes, in Stockholm there's sea everywhere. The boat was rebuilt into a hotel, communications were connected to it, electricity.

I really liked the concept - you get into the atmosphere quickly. On foot to the metro about 5 minutes. The only minus was that internet was only on the neighboring boat, as well as reception.

The toilet, by the way, was also located outside the room. And from it opened, perhaps, the coolest view from a window that I've ever seen.

Sea in the window is cool!

If you suddenly want to stay in a cheap and simple but cool hostel - it's called "red boat", "den röda båten". Definitely look at their Facebook page, we found a price 30% cheaper than on booking.com this way.
