Summer in Prague is a very strange thing.
When we first arrived in Czech Republic, it seemed - this is a completely different world. Warm autumn lasted until December, and in winter snow fell only a couple of times.
I, as an ordinary Russian guy, am used to summer temperature around +25. Rain sometimes, and in the evening - generally awesome.
But due to global warming and the fact that I could finish university, in Moscow already in the year of my departure a mess of local scale happened - the whole summer the city was burning (remember 1812).
From morning to evening the city was covered with smoke, fun was added by the scorching sun, which poorly passes through clouds, but has an amazing ability to pass perfectly through layers of gray haze. Special flavor was added by planned water shutdown for 2 weeks in the very peak of Moscow-calypse.
Life hack: how to survive planned water shutdown.
Don't wash and don't leave home. I still follow this rule and therefore lost 10 kg in just 2 weeks.
So what about Czech Republic?
The first summer was generally excellent - the sun scorched only during the day, in the evening the weather was cosmic. But the next year hell came - there were no rains for weeks, temperature consistently stayed above +30. Couldn't avoid leaving home, because had to go to work. Spaniards came to Prague to at least get a bit of tan.
For understanding, Prague is the local St. Petersburg, here it should have been always bad with weather (and Czech mentality, unlike Russian, forces, unfortunately, girls to dress in 3 layers. Depression like at Vykhino at 7 am).
This year I didn't expect anything good anymore. Grandma strictly forbade me to go outside without a cap, I got scared and bought one.
But I must note - this summer turned out very good. It was warm, but without scorching. Consistently around +25 during the day. Hell lasted about 1 week, but this is just flowers. Thank god, I was bedridden with my back for a couple of months, I tolerate heat poorly anyway.
What's all this for? Want warmth - no need anymore to go to poor tropical countries. Come to sunny Prague, the climate here is excellent. In warm time they pour beer, and in cold - warm wine. Everything is calculated before you.
Oh yes - the black cap faded over summer. And this could have been me, not it. A cap is a mandatory attribute and sets the style. Like a carpet. Reporting to grandma by the way.
