I went to a first aid course from the Czech Red Cross. Besides the fact that now I can stick on a band-aid, I learned that:

- first rule of first aid: your safety first, then everything else
- not providing first aid without a reason is illegal, you can go to jail
- reasons to refuse first aid can be a threat to yourself or loved ones (no problem) or to your property (with questions)
- algorithm of actions:
- make sure it's safe
- understand who is where
- call 155
- help those not breathing with heart massage
- blood, saliva, fluids - don't touch at all or put on gloves
- breathing control - by ear and by sight
- press between boobs 100-120 times per minute if there's no breathing, on the third minute it gets fun
- the hardest thing - to be able to wait and do nothing
- don't do anything extra
- sometimes a person needs to die, don't be a hero
- if something's stuck in a person's mouth, first you need to hit their back, bending them over
- defibrillator - easy thing, the problem is to find it (it tells instructions itself)
- blood flowing - press
- if the person is conscious, then generally don't care, called - relax
- something stuck in - don't pull out
- don't give your own medicines
- adrenaline syringes go great through pants, stick into the big thigh muscle on the side or butt
