Recently I was thinking - why do people today know how to do well, but don't?
Let's take as an example a sign that I found in the depths of my photo archives:

It would seem, how does something like this even appear in someone's head? What's the message?
I thought and thought, and understood one thing. There is a very clear message here.
Most likely, the design was entrusted to the son of mom's friend (who's already a millionaire). Which means they didn't spend much. And if they didn't spend much - means probably no money. And if no money, means they provide cheap services.
I.e. such a thing - deliberately shitty design can be a signal that services are cheaper than others.
Let's take another example.
What do you think this store does?

Even the backward will understand. Why simplify so much? So even the smartest will understand. And the smartest - they're usually also poor. Again: shitty design - we sell cheap.
And you know, the rule works in Czech Republic too.
What does this sign tell you, for example?

Maybe nothing. The sign says about services - eyelash extensions, coloring, etc.
But here everything is done through the ass and smells of Asian.
And what does that mean? Means the establishment is run by local Vietnamese. And Vietnamese - always do everything cheaper.
Conclusion: deliberately shitty design is a worldwide way to tell people that you do something cheaply.
