How not to win a million in Czech Republic? Receipt lottery.

This article is ๐Ÿ’ฉ mammoth shit

This means its value is not in being informative, but in memory of how it was

There may be an update at the end of the article. Or there may not be.

Did you know that in many European countries and beyond you can participate in lotteries for free? Let me tell you.

So. With every purchase they should give you a receipt. But many don't give these receipts. Some forget, some do it on purpose to avoid taxes.

What should the government do to make you as a buyer always demand a receipt?

The answer to this question was found in Taiwan in the 1950s.

Each receipt became a lottery ticket. To participate, you just needed to register the receipt in the system. That same year tax turnover became 75% higher.

In Czech Republic they recently launched this lottery too. To participate, just download the app, photograph a couple of lines on the receipt, enter a couple of details manually and wait for the draw.

If anyone's interested - here's the link to registration and rules. The game really works, a friend won 100 crowns :)
