Františkovy Lázně

September 2021

We walked to the town from Cheb - I advise you to do the same

First thing a tourist will see - endless hotels and restaurants

And a bit of craziness

Expensive and rich

The town is quiet, only pensioners

Park, football field

We sat on a bench, watched the kids. A small group of girls about 15 years old came.
They turned on music, got out IQOS.
One of them recently got her period, she shared this with one of her friends. My congratulations!
A normal generation is growing up.

In general, the whole town looks like this

Central colonnade - like in Poděbrady and any other "Lázně" (spa resorts)

But here it's straight-up Austria, reminded me of Burgenland

In general, boomers are happy

There's basically nothing else in town.

And such trash bins don't exist anywhere else in Czechia

It's simple - the spirit here is not Czech at all, because Germany is across the road

Sign still of the old type

Nobody gives a fuck about the station because only locals use it

I expected standard Czech trains, but 2 unknown compositions arrived at the platform at once

We were traveling with a transfer in Cheb, it turned out these trains are German. The routes are also German, but some of them pass through Czech towns (inside everything is also in German, except people)

On the train to Cheb we sat in the aisle. A Roma guy passing through us said "I'll pass I'll pass I'll pass". A Czech schoolboy said "díky, borče"
On the train from Cheb to Karlovy Vary a Czech guy about 20 years old sat opposite us talking on the phone. He received from me the award "soul of the year 2021". He managed to piss off his girlfriend (BUY IT YOURSELF DO IT YOURSELF WHAT'S WITH YOU) and his buddy (I'M SAD I WON'T GO ANYWHERE IF YOU WANT WRITE MY BACHELOR'S THESIS FOR ME) with his whining.

And outside the window was a beautiful European sunset
