Kacov was one of the towns we visited completely by accident. We were passing by somewhere, wanted to eat. On the map we saw a familiar word, since we drank such beer in Podebrady
Kacov beer we remembered back then in 2014 because it had a "swamp" aftertaste. Well and at the local beer shop it was one of the cheapest
The town of Kacov was run-down even by Czechia 2018 standards
In town it was gray and generally nothing was in good condition

The only thing in at least some adequate condition was the brewery. Inside there were more people than we met on the street. We ate, I remember beer cost about 22 crowns - funny money even for that time
The beer in the restaurant didn't have a swamp aftertaste. But going out onto the street, it became clear that the town has a swamp smell, and really powerful.
That's how we learned that water in beer is the main ingredient, and the town of Kacov stinks like Kacov beer
