A place we went to in summer 2014 while waiting for studies. Interesting thing near Podebrady - observation tower (Czech "rozhledna") Romanka.
Summer before 1st year turned out wildly boring, because I knew for sure I'd already been admitted in early June, so until October I was resting. Had to leave the house so as not to die of boredom, horror.
In short, to all those who find themselves in the same situation, I advise going to this tower.
How to get there?
First to Nymburk, and then to Oskořínek station. Then on foot about 2 kilometers.
Entry, I think, costs 15 crowns, however instead of a ticket they give a postcard, very good idea.
Don't forget that Podebrady is located almost on a plain, so don't expect anything amazing :)
Going even higher. Wind by the way really blows you away, we chose the weather wisely.
Climbed up. Well and where's RUDN?

And that day we went further on foot, walked quite a bit, but about that later.
Road leads through pure field, walking on foot not great, would be better on bikes.
Wind was, of course, cool.
And also that day we saw a shitload of poppies. Googling we learned that Czechia - is the largest producer and exporter of poppy in the world. Such things. Not only beer and xenophobes are rich :) And poppies - are cool!
