How Else to Feel Like a Real Czech Student. Baguettes.

In those terrible times when I studied at RUDN, the question of food was acute. You had to get in line for the canteen in the morning at the university, and at cafes (yes, RUDN has a food court on the 1st floor, lol) I, a poor guy, didn't have enough money. How is the issue of cheap food solved in Czech Republic?

Czech Republic also has canteens in universities, usually in almost every building. Where there aren't any, there's usually some buffet where you can grab some "chlebíček" (analogue of Russian sandwich, boutique for mommy's friend's son). But today it's not about that. Today I'll tell you what you need to eat at a Czech university to not be caught that you're from Khabarovsk at all.

In short, guys, you need to buy baguettes. They're sold in every self-respecting place where students gather. If you pay with a student ISIC card, there's even a discount. For 30 crowns you can buy a decent baguette with all sorts of goodies inside.
Even I get full, well and girls can always share with a groupmate they've liked for a long time, thus taking another step forward from converting a disgusting student visa (which, fuck, I've been extending since mid-summer, and haven't even submitted fingerprints yet) to a cohabitation visa.

My choice - baguette with turkey ham. Ham, pepper, brown bread, generously spread with some white stuff (not mayo), what could be better. "Paráda!" (Czech "cool, awesome") - you'll exclaim, having tasted this gourmet's dream, without even understanding where you know this word from.

PS and the bottle of aloe juice in the first photo - we have a Vietnamese shop 2 steps from the building, and there are many such interesting things there. Vietnamese are cool guys.
