I don't even know where to start this story. First, let me say that design is not a purely artistic process. Just as a person learns to draw and paint beautifully on canvas, so does a graphic designer learn to work with their canvas. And their canvas is a monitor. Just as every artist understands the rules of perspective and colors, so does a designer understand the rules of colors and layout.
Yes, I agree that there are designers from God who don't follow rules and don't study anywhere, and everyone gasps at their work. But if you look at statistics, there are fewer such people than those who ended up in this profession by accident.
So here's a story about such designers. I just found out that Russian Railways in Moscow launched something like a metro app. I don't have an Android, so I can't install it, but I was able to see the QR codes:

So what's the problem, you ask? The fact is that these monsters made the codes too small, and also made them white on black. This is the main mistake in design - no contrast. But that's not all. Since white is used, they put these codes on a white background in 4 tiles. So the codes are almost invisible. Like UFOs.
Moreover, even after you stand on your toes, lean toward the poster and try to catch the code, the app can't read it. Or at least the app of one person who asked me to open the code on my phone couldn't do it.
So in order to get information about the train schedule, you need to stand there and wave your phone like a fool. And sometimes it's simply impossible to catch the code, especially if you need to catch a train.
I hope this post will be useful for designers-patriots, so that they don't make such mistakes.
