The city of Pisek outside of Czechia is known only to one nation - us, and that's thanks to a top meme about the second name of the city of Ivanovo
It would be cool if they became sister cities
Pisek itself was visited on the same day as Tabor
I didn't want to visit the city of Tabor because I was sure it was associated with gypsies. Pisek, in turn, didn't evoke any good associations either
As often happens, that day I unexpectedly visited 2 cities in Czechia at once, which would undoubtedly later enter my top of the best cities in the country
Pisek amazingly contains a ton of history
And in Pisek there are people, which is an exception to Czech realities
The local bridge is older than Charles Bridge
In places, Pisek is just Amsterdam, there are simply no other similar cities in Czechia
The food here is delicious
The main square is absolutely standard for Czechia
The differences are only in the details
The locals love their city as much as, for example, Tabor residents
Basketball or football?
A must-visit that nobody knows about - the water power station, the oldest in Czechia (working, the vibe is indescribable)
Pisek made the same impression as Cheb - it feels like taxes don't go nowhere, the whole city is clean and tidy (not comparable to rich but corruption-ridden Brno or even some parts of Prague)
