This trip took place as part of my first birthday "eurotour", during which I visited:
Helsinki - Tallinn - Tartu - Riga - Jurmala - Vilnius - Warsaw
First thing you need to know: back then I thought the best way to tell about travels is video. That's not true, but you can watch the video here:
We visited Jurmala because there was little time for Latvia.
You can get to the city by suburban train for a couple euros.
There weren't really any expectations from the city, I thought there'd be some concerts, in other words, a resort town
Apparently that's how it turned out, just not in April
The only thing I remember:
1) rich cottages
2) cold shore
3) wet socks (watch the video)
You could say that Jurmala is an absolutely useless city, but that's not true.
This is exactly where you need to go to repeat the famous meme
Otherwise - yes, useless city, no wonder Russian singers go to vacation exactly here.
