April 2019
This journey took place as part of my first birthday "eurotour," during which I visited:
Helsinki - Tallinn - Tartu - Riga - Jūrmala - Vilnius - Warsaw
First thing you need to know: that year I thought videos are better for telling about travels than articles. This is not true, but you can watch the video here:
It all started with Helsinki, since I could find cheap plane tickets, and then it went rolling... Turned out there's a cheap ferry to Tallinn, and then cheap buses slowly go to Prague

Helsinki surprised immediately with its quietness. After Prague it feels like you came from kindergarten to PhD professors

Despite the city being three steps from Russia, absolutely nobody there gives a fuck about it. Not comparable to the Baltics.

The city, naturally, reminded me of Stockholm

So, impressions:
- absolute silence on the tram
- lots of Swedish language
- beautiful nature

The only normal craft beer I remember, costs like a kidney and is sold in an interesting can

Residential neighborhoods were remembered extremely positively

And the secret of the whole trip: some strange locks at entrance doors to the building

Of the whole journey Helsinki seemed like an obvious option for living, if there was a choice
